What's the best way to carb cycle? 3 days high carbs on heavy workouts? Every day do high carbs or maybe 3rd day? I appreciate the help?
 
There is no way for someone to say what’s best for you because it worked for them. You have to try several way to see what works for your body and your schedule.

Personally I carb cycle daily by only getting my carbs in during and after training so they are used for fuel and to illicit an insulin response (or work with insulin)

It’s gonna depend on ho your body process carbs , what kind of daily activity you have and your goals
 
I prefer Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday zero carbs.
Low carbs Thursday and Friday
Anything goes Saturday and Sunday
This is the most effective way to carb cycle for me.
 
i dont get why people carb cycle. makes zero sense scientifically.
calorie cycle maybe, but carbs arent good or bad. they just are.
the insulin/carb thing is a myth, thats been shown over and over.
and protein raises insulin as much as or more than carbs do.
do u protein cycle? i thought not.

Have you ever checked your blood sugar after eating 50g of protein from 97% lean beef then checked it after drinking 50g of dextrose in water??

There is a HUGE difference in the insulin response I don’t care what studies show what , do the test on yourself and see what happens to your insulin response as that’s all that matters.

I’m guessing that you also believe that all calories are equal and that the body used them all same??
 
I would never do carb cycles, honestly, I like linear diets, with no changes in daily meals. If I want to eat carbs, I will add in a couple of meals around the training, but the idea of having several menus of different calories/macros, and changing them from one day to the next, blows my head.
