Carb sources and going hypo

A long while back I began using mostly fruits and vegetables as my carb sources.
Over time I have dropped the small amounts of rice, potatoes, and other traditional carbs until I got to the point where I may only have one serving of such carbs per day.

So now my carbs have come ONLY from fruit and veggies. I drink a lot of 100% fruit juice too, not from concentrate.
My total carb intake is still way up there, but I am not getting processed carbs, breads, rice, etc..... just fruit and veg.

I have never felt better. Energy is up, I have made solid gains, I feel less bloated, and just overall healthier.

However, every once in a while I go severely hypo. It comes on fast, I'll notice my skin feels warm, but I get chills, and I start sweating and feeling like I want to pass out. it feels EXACTLY like taking too much slin or not enough carbs with a slin shot.

I take a good serving of Nestle Quick powder or eat a potato or something, and it will go away.
The last time I had it happen, I ate an apple and a banana. I didn't feel like I was going to faint anymore, but I still had a lot of hypo symptoms. I took some Nestle powder and felt normal again.

So my question is, even with the total amount of carbs being the same, am I getting far less of an insulin response from fruit? I've always known veggies don't do much as far as insulin goes, but I figured fruit would act very similarly to other carbs with regard to insulin response.

Bananas and white rice have the same GI, but only rice will take me out of a hypoglycemic episode.

Drinking a glass of OJ will keep me hypo, yet sugary Nestle Quick will make me feel normal in minutes.

This makes me think I can get away with eating a lot more carbs without gaining fat as long as they are fruits and veggies. Is this true?

the sugar is different.
fructose is processed by your liver and stored there, your other carb sources like rice or sugar (the nestlie powder) affect your inslin, fruit doesnt do this or at least shouldnt as much. all sugar is not the same.

im super sentsitve to carbs and inslin, i dont drink juice, but do eat fruit, its my only pre work out carb source though i usually dont get more that 75g of fructose a day. on non training days i dont eaat as much fruit.

i think maybe you are getting too many carbs from fructose, and or the way you are eating is causing your slin to be up without the nutrients you need in your system. you are making slin when not needed, shuttles glucose out of the blood leaviing you hypo.

are you taking luecine? this can cause as well.

you seem to be producing slin when not necesary, work at making yourself more sensitive.

Happens to me also, I have actually tested mine at the time off it coming on and been around 57, strange.

Interesting... This can't be good (obviously).

Here are my thoughts:

It sounds like you might be having a rebound effect from eating simple sugars. If this is the case, then it is from the juice you're drinking... Store bought fruit juice, even if it is "100% fruit juice" does not include the dietary fiber and so on that is necessary for slowing the digestion of carbs from fruits. So, if you're drinking fruit juice, it might spike your BG, which might lead to a spike of insulin, which then lowers your BG too fast and causes you to go hypo. Maybe try eliminating the store-bought fruit juice; only drink fruit juice that is made at home. It's also a good idea to get a blood panel done and check what your fasting BG is.
