Curious about your experience with various carb powders. Always been a food first type of guy..... wondering if they give a performance boost while training. Vitargo, waxy maze, HBCD, dextrose, etc..

Oats, rice, white bread and sugary cereals. There is no need for powders of any kind.

I'm a big fan of HBCD followed by a close second would be the rice based carb powders from true nutrition. Most others seem to sit a little funky in my stomach.

Around training... HBCD's, Vitargo etc.

As part of meal replacement... Oats, Activated Barley, Sweet Potatoe powder etc.

Has anyone tried oat flour? Shit is finely ground oats and cheap as hell. Mixes so easy with water and makes chocolate isolate taste like chocolate ice cream waffle cone. Good for post workout or an addition to mass gainer shakes. It’s a much better texture in shakes compared to regular oats.

I'm gonna have to give this a try!

If you have a grinder, you can simply put regular oats in there and blend it. Comes out just as fine as buying oat flour.

That's what I do.

I tried it in the blender but wasn’t nearly as smooth. The oat flour is ridiculously smooth. I get 9 lbs of it off amazon.

I use karboload from TN and love it. Used it for years. I like the watermelon flavor

1/2 hbcd + 1/2 gatorade powder from costco. Diluate + save money = win.

Oat powder bloats me too hard now although I used it for years before I got accustomed to the food required. I eat less carbs in general now and have used 40g waximaize pre and post workout (AM, then eat food at work) as it doesn't bother my stomach.

Same here.....oats, oat powder.....no matter how refined it is bloats me and kills my appetite for hours.

Rice based maltodextrin has been amazing for me

I've been just sticking with dextrose in my intra-shake + bcaa's, creatine, etc. Of course this is while I'm using gh + insulin-r pre-workout. It's been enough to keep my going for 1hr+ if I want. No issues with bloating either.

Post-workout I'll have a basic meal chicken, white rice, veggies or whey+oatmeal.

I haven't had any issues so far with doing it this way. I'll probably give the more expensive stuff a try in the future, but for now I'm going to stick with this until I run into issues.

Have always liked and used ejther HBCF or karbolyn

I was totally oblivious until I listened to some Seth feroce video about digestion and switched to white rice only for a few weeks and it was an immediate night and day difference for me as far as how I looked, how full I felt and for how long. Whatever, now I know I do better on fast carbs and less in general.
