Cardio before lifting a bad or good idea? I do fasted cardio and lifting. It Should help wake me up and get blood flow going. Input please

Not a great idea if you're planning to have anything that resembles an intense weight training session directly following the fasted cardio. Everyone I know who does fasted cardio will do so first thing in the morning (fasted) and then come back and complete their weight training session in the afternoon or evening. That way you have the opportunity to fuel your body & prime your muscles for a properly intense weight training session.

I either do complete fasted cardio on non lifting days. Or fasted training with aminos on lifting days, with a short cardio session afterwards. Rarely do I train with food in my stomach.

cardio either in a truly fasted state steady state

any other time in the day i would do HIIT mostly

Post workout 5-10-15-20 min HIIT cardio

before wts not a great idea.

Always remember Muscles are calorie expensive. You dont need anything to hinder you from laying down new muscle tissue.

Personally I don’t see a point in fasted cardio unless you’re in the really low bf% getting ready for a show.

Fasted weight training is pointless at any time.

All my lifting is done fasted as I train at 4:00 am. No food at all beforehand except what's left from the previous evening's meal.

In the last 10 weeks I've put on almost 10 lbs while on a low dose cycle and very modest calorie surplus.

Plus I'm beating my logbook every week in the gym.

Same here. With my schedule I either train at 5am or I won't have time to train that day. Before I got shingles I was making great gains and people were commenting on the changes I was making. All weight training at 5am is fasted and I go to bed around 1130-12.
