cardiovascular limit on muscle growth

Is there a link to how strong your cardiovascular system is to how much muscle you can build?

i saw in another thread people posting pictures of a few running backs and those guys are beasts but look at the workouts they do all very intense , no long distance or endurance stuff.

Look at sprinters most are impressively built, and none train long distances for the most part.
 
well, looking at both long distance runners and sprinters, one can conclude the short intervals at high intensity not only allows you to keep the muscle you build but it enhances it. Look at the guys that run long distances, they all real slender. My cardio when leaning out consists of 20 to 30 minutes high impact, high intensity at variable speeds 4 times a week, it works great, I get to keep my mass and drop BF. One more thing about long periods of cardio is that it raises cortisol levels, the most catabolic compound in your body.God bless you, The Minister.
