Is 50g before bed too much, or should I just stick to 25g?

50 grams is the least I would use. And no it can't hurt you.
 
You'll be fine at 50.

Figure out your macros for your goals and you'll know what you need.

I used to just use whey with a scoop of PB. It was cheaper than casein at the time and I didn't need 2 different jugs of protein.

I usually take 25g before bed then another 25 when I get up to piss half way through the night.
 
50 is good unless your over on cals/macros for the day

As long as it fits in your macros there is no too much or too little protein limit per meal. Same goes for fats and carbs.
 
Same as everyone said

Once calories get so high your getting too full during the day you can always throw that shake in in the middle of the night...obviously only if your getting up to pee anyway and not setting an alarm
 
50 qrams is fine as long as it fits withing your macros like others mentioned.
I used to do 50 grams as well but switched to cottage cheese after just because it was more filling I would wake up too hungry
 
never tried casein, always heard it was inferior to whey, but only tried whey so cant give opinion on casein, but bedtime seems like it would be best cause slow digesting, but im sure you knew that already
