Cash Thru The Mail

I sent a small amount $400 to a domestic source via USPS delivery conformation on the 20th of this month. Have done this two dozen times without problem. This time the card never made it to destination. When you go to USPS.com to track they show card as being picked up from me at the location I sent it from but thats it. No confirmed delivery. USPS says no way to track. Is there anything I can do? Anyway to recoup $400?

i dunno.... go ask at the PO.. they'll know... they lost one of my express mail things and gave me $$ back cuz it was MO and i had a receipt

very stange but same thing happend to me in a similar way. they say they have no way to track package...So I was out $900.

thing that really sucks is that I did not want to go in there causing a bunch of problems, for the obvious reasons.

Also, don't make it look like cash, put cash in a photo mailer or a box or inside a mag. if a pissed off postal worker who is working a dead end job feels as though it MAY be cash inside and decides to open it up, he/she is gonna snag it and they know that DC can't be tracked so it's your loss...if there is no cash all they have to do is put it in a new priority mail envelope and send it as nothing happended...they can't do this with xpress.....it's accounted for everywhere it's at.

Good advice. I didn't know they couldn't track packs even with delivery confirmation? Does that just show that it was delivered or does it actually track it?
I do know it has to be express or priority before they will put delivery confirmation on it.

this is how i got scammed... sent money through the mail and didnt have any conformation on it.. he saw that and said never recieved funds. small order anyway.. no big deal, but it taught me a lesson.

Delivery Confirmation is not always good. I have used it for years and never had a problem but I certainly could have. Sometimes it doesn't show up as being sent when you run the number but shows up when delivered and vice versa. Usually it is a good system but not everytime in my case. Sending express is just very costly but it is deffinaltely gives you more peace of mind. If you conceal funds safely that priority w/ del conf should be no problem. I have actually seen a guy send a large amount of money using $10s and $20s etc in one stack and then just drop it in a priority envelope with nothing concealing it! It made it but a dumb fuck like that deserves to have his money taken. A little common sense on concealing funds and you should not have to worry.

Use BIG bills, wrap it in a sheet of black carbon paper, put it in an envelope, send it with DC or if it is A LOT of cheese use express.
