I read somewhere on here (Cant find it now:bang head:) a post by Dante that said celery seed (And i think one other supplement) can lower bp. We have al read the recommendations by Dante about using Ubiquinol for the same thing. My BP is slightly elevated but nothing too extreme, but i would like to get it down a few points. I read another article in the Life Extensions magazine about celery seed extract and olive leaf extract both lowering BP.

My my question to anyone who has used both (And i would love to hear Dante's input here), which is the best route to take. Do you find one better than the other or one that has less sides than the other?

I think BP is the biggest problem we all have even if you don't know it.

I use Ubiquinol as a daily staple but not really for BP control. You may get a few points out of the celery but I think your best bet is Carditone. Do a quick Amazon search on it. I experimented with some higher dosed tren this passed summer and my BP went up into the 135-140 range. (I prefer it at 120-125) I started with a full tab of Carditone 1x day and had to cut back to 1/2 tab after a week cause my BP was dropping too low and I was getting light headed when I'd stand up after laying down.

I would rather go to a doctor and get real blood pressure meds. Why rely on a maybe? We have meds that work. I can understand seeking out some anti inflammatory alternatives, but rolling the dice with your cardiovascular system is not ideal.

Yeah Dave i get that and thank you for the reply as i respect you very much. my bp last month was somewhere around 135/70 (SOmething like that). SO its not that high really at all since I'm 43 yrs old. but just thought i could take something OTC and maybe lower it to the upper 120' or 130. My endo is not worried about it at all but its just me thinking out loud.

Dont know about the celery seed, but I do take 2 Ubiquinol (traders joes) every morning. Not a huge help but it helps me a little.

Ak

I don't understand. Please fill me in here:

You have no problem using underground drugs bought from a guy you've never met.

You have a problem using prescription BP drugs from a certified medical doctor you see in person.

???

No problem. I speak from experience, as I'm on an ACE inhibitor, and have been since my early 20's. You may feel fine, but the slow degradation of your CVS will cause issues. I've seen more than a handful suffer. I don't even "feel" when it's up. Mine isn't even gear related. It started in my late teens.

Because blood pressure meds are bad for you, other than the fact they reduce blood pressure.

Carditone or cardiomag 2.0 (magnesium orotate) are good suggestions. If you want to experiment a little bit, try tinkering with some daily/eod/e3d tadalafil (cialis). It will help with bp and bph.

As far as supplements(otc)...
Ubiquinol
Magnesium

Hawthorn Berries
Celery Seed Extract

I'd consider the top two staples, and the bottom two...possibly very helpful but you'll really have to take the time to try them and test your bp etc..
Same with cialis but I'd say the results you want are more likely to occur with that compound.

I find that Ubiquinol doesn't help much, if at all with my Bp. However I do find it helps greatly with heart palpitations.

How? Any evidence to support this? There are also several classifications of BP meds.

Homeopathic medicine to counteract real drugs is most less effective.

There is TONS of evidence of negative effects of bp meds. A simple google search will easily elaborate. I'd much rather lower my bp using a natural diet and health supplements than taking a drug.

Google search Telmisartan and PPAR gamma activity and tell me what you think

It's ignorant to assume natural is safer. Most drugs are researched and studied. Homeopathy isn't nearly researched or standardized.

You also lumped all BP drugs in the same category.

It's less safe to use untested homeopathic medicine (that's most likely producing marginal results) than getting a simple ACE inhibitor from a doctor.

Having borderline high blood pressure is absolutely less safe than taking 40mg of lisinopril ED.

BP drugs aren't really a bad thing. Are you thinking of statins?

Yo can try garlic and hisbiscus tea also.

According to a 2004 study published in the journal Phytomedicine (2004;11:375–82), people suffering from hypertension can lower their blood pressure significantly by drinking hibiscus tea daily. The study included seventy people - half of whom drank 16 ounces of hibiscus tea before breakfast daily or ingested 25 mg of an antihypertensive medication (captopril) twice daily. After one month, the hibiscus tea drinkers’ diastolic blood pressure was reduced at least 10 points in 79% of the participants; blood pressure in the medicated group was reduced at least ten points in some 84% of the participants - a statistically insignificant difference.
