bored, thinking of a hardeware upgrade...im with rogers...

was originally thinking blackberry flip, but am thinking i want to get away from the flip and back to 1 piece...

talked to the guy at the rogers store, and instead of $249, i could have it for $99 with the data plan...now ive always felt i would never use the internet...but i bet if i had it, i would use it, be it at work, hospital, or whatever

family data plan plus sounds not bad,, $80 for 400 mins shared/UNLIMITED TEXT/EMAIL AND INTERNET.. UNLIMITED LOCAL AND LONG DISTANCE TO MY FAV 5 numbers...pretty good i think

i was originally thinking the curve, but read here about freezing...plus if i can get the faster bold on the cheap, fack it..

please give me your advice?? any other real good flip or otherwise out there

not feeling the IPHONE, not big on touch screeen..

look into the htc touch pro. It is the best of both worlds. it runs a very stable version of windows mobile, has a touch screen AND a full sliding qwerty keyboard. The Touch-Flo interface makes it a serious contender against the iphone with all the features we have come to love from traditional pda/smartphones.

I LOVE MINE.

The Pearl has to be option bro. It's a happy medium between your classy blackberry and your average joe phone.

I've used pretty much all the Blackberry devices and my favorite by far is the curve.. I absolutely hated the Pearl after using one for a few months.. if you like to text or send email on your handheld.. its a huge pain in the ass..I had the 8830 for a while, hated the size and the fact it had no camera.. some of my co-workers are using the Bold and are constantly bitching about it.. The Curve gives you the same full keyboard options as the 8800 series.. minus the bulkiness.. and adds the camera and video..which I personally feel is essential I never have issues with freezing.. the first gen curves may have had that issue..if you go with that.. I highly recommend the 2GB micro SD card..

Also, not sure if the prices are different but i go with sprint and i pay $99 per month for unlimited EVERYTHING. I downloaded the PDANet application and this lets you 'tether' your phone to your laptop so you will have internet anywhere you go. This being said i also have an aircard but i am just a dork.

If you have never had a windows phone, check one out, you might just like it.

Sprint Smartview is the shit! I couldnt believe how easy it was to tether my bb to my laptop using that.. click connect and thats it? I couldnt believe what I was experiencing

have you looked at the htc touch pro? I know everyone is big into blackberry's but aside form the blocky look the thing really can compete with the iphone for coolness and any other phone out there for functionality!

What he said. I bluetooth my connection through my treo when I don't have Wifi around.

Edit....I also don't have the Everything plan. I am on a Free incoming plan they no longer offer with an unliited data pkg. add-on.
