Cell Phones and privacy

I have been wondering something for a while now. Is it bad practice to use my cell phone for browsing "sensitive" sites and sending anonymous emails? Is it any less secure than a PC? Just wanted some feedback

No. It's the worst thing you can possibly do. Android/Apple phones have back doors (if in their physical possession), and the cops/feds have applications to rip the contents of your phone.

No problem, but consider how many people are out there using their phones/home email/home phone/cell phones for illicit activities. The chances of being watched and caught are slim to none.

So if one wanted to be extra cautious........starting from now, after reading this thread and they went and bought a new android phone, but used the same sim card would the sensitive info transfer to the new phone.

Nothing is defautly stored on the sim, maybe some contacts. On Android the Dial Storage is where all SMS/MMS text messages are stored. You can use Titanium Backup, an app, and can set it to delete the file automatically if you press a widget on the home screen.

There are some programs you can put on them. No worries, just get one of the programs

If your running icecreamsandwich android you can fully encrypt your phone in the settings. Nobody is getting to your private mails then. Plus a phone Is a lot easier to discard when in trouble.
