You tell me. I'm 10 days pre-diet for the 2012 Nationals. I'm 5'1 and 194 lbs. Hoping to drop 20-23 lbs and step on stage as a middleweight, one weight class up from welterweight at my last show, the 2010 USA. I'm going to post every 2 weeks once actual "contest prep" starts. Give me your honest opinions. Oh yeah, these pics taken with my cell phone camera so not great, but you get the idea.

You need to post full body pics if you want an honest critique. A front and rear double bicep in trunks would be perfect.

Upper body looks great though.
 
Agreed with Shelby. Upper body looks great. Get some leg shots for us. Dial in the diet and I will love to see what happens brother!

I'll post a full body and legs shot tomorrow. I'll take those pics pre-training so the pump doesn't obscure the detail. Thanks for the opinions so far :)

Championship Full body?!

A couple shots each front double bi, front lat and one shot of just quads. All taken in the morning pre-workout and flat.
What do you guys think? Posing is a bit off as I haven't been on stage since USA's 2 years ago, so any comments, suggestions, critiques are welcome aside from conditioning, as the diet doesn't start until the 15th.

Compare to USA's in 2010

Compare my previous shots to my USA's 2 years ago. Any positive changes? I know what i think here, but what about others of you with experience in competition?

My hams have been a weaker area and I have been working on improving all aspects in that area. Although those comp pics somehow got skewed height wise when I posted them up and have me looking quite a bit taller and smaller than I actually am

i personally think you need to work on getting leaner and fuller for your show

those last comp pics you posted were missing alot of needed seperation in the quads, hamis, glutes, lower back and biceps/triceps,

so IMO you couldve dropped more fat and came in better condition

improvements youve made are hard to tell at this point due to the bf%, but id say ur legs look like theyve improved

Agreed that conditioning has to be better than last time around but that's not a concern as I've taken on a much more experienced diet coach this time around. For me sticking to a diet is easy, it's sticking to the right diet that has been my achilles heal in the past. Everything that has had to come up did. Arms, hams, delts are all vastly improved over what they were. My only concern now is coming in great shape.

you got some thick legs. what do they measure? how far out are you? keep up the good work man.
 
Thanks friend. I appreciate the kind words. My legs measure 27 inches around. I am 15 weeks out, i haven't actually started dieting hard yet. I've got a great coach helping me along this time and the diet starts in one week from today and my goal this year is to break the top 10 this year, although top five is what I truly want.
