Something I just thought of, and it may already have been done on here. Seeing as I put that post up about us being a brotherhood and stuff, we should do more to help each other.

how about we all put up basic information (not too indepth of obvious reasons) about what we do for a living.

This could help some of us network for either a mutual or business benefit. Say for instance someone works as a Software consultant and another one of us works at a company that has a new system implementation and they are looking for someone, we could kinda keep it all in the family?

Any thoughts on this?

Would maybe work for computer stuff since it can be done online to some extent, but sounds improbable in other fields of activity that require proximity... keep in mind people browsing PM come from all over the world.

Someone may have a competence you need, but if he lives thousands of miles away from you, there's very little chance some business happen.

Unless of course you're an American or European sportswear brand representative and meet on here some Asian guy who owns a factory and can manufacture your sneakers or t-shirts at a very low cost...

I was thinking more on the large end the industries. If you think about consultants in pretty much any field, due to them working on a temporary basis, they earn a lot more than most so are happy to put in a bit of travelling to get the job done and earn the money. Some of my clients have been contracted out to places like Dubai, Japan, Canada etc all in the name of work. And thats not just on the IT side, it covers management, quality control/auditing, financial advice etc.

Resturant Manager

I manage a Resturant in South Jersey. Im actually begingin to look into finding investors to help with financing a high end PAN_ASIAN resturant in one of the new casinos being built right now. rental space in them usually goes for about $900 per month per square foot. then the personal comittment to the bank, via down payment for financing is in the range of $1000 per seat, so it can be quite daunting if you want a 500 seat resturant, the upside is that casino's carry a class c bread liquer licens so there is no need to purchase your own since the casino's acts as an umbrella and covers all leased private outlets on it's property.

so anyone what tants a piece of a resturant inside of a new casino shoot me a pm..

I am a f/t firefighter and own a business on the side doing custom kitchens. We do granite, marble, and custom concrete countertops and vanities. Also, I'm getting into importing rare woods from South America among a few other countries to do custom hand finished bartops, butcher blocks, etc etc. We even do LCD lights in counters, and will soon be getting into fiber optics.
