How often and why.... the why part is a dumb question.. but i love hearing about peoples cheat sessions...:od-smil
Personally I really like to avoid cheating on my diet unless i really feel the craving to do so and its really earned .. Sometimes its weeks.. sometimes longer..
I really think structured cheat meals can be beneficial...but can also be a huge setback if your not careful.. Years ago when i started competing.. I would have some major binge sessions that were out of control.. Almost addicting too.. I really dont advocate that.. People that work with me know that they are eating good food all through the diet and eating their calories.. not drinking them.. So there is no major problem sticking to a long diet..
I also structure all my training ( cardio and lifting) around meals so that i reward myself with food ... This really works
