yep, firefighting and bodybuilding work pretty good together 80-90% of the time. Hell, when I'm not out on a call I'm usually eating, cooking, or just chillin'. You get the occasional pain in the ass shift, but for the most part it works out very well.

He said that lower reaps work slow twitch fiber, and higher reps work fast twitch fiber. Maybe he got confused with his words, but I always thought high reps was slow twitch

He got his pro card at 198 and he wasn't that much heavier if at all as a pro.

I talkeed to Porter a few years back. He was talking about when he was at his biggest (260 I believe he said) in the off-season. He said that when they'd get the fire runs...his co-workers would have to help him put his fire coat on as he was too big to get into it himself.LOL
