So this chinese place I visit has this house beef. It is a sliced beef that looks to be fried and it is in a brown sweet and peppery sauce. they serve it over diced raw cabbage. it is good stuff, sweet and spicy. I have been tring to get the recipie down and I think I am close.
I used chicken and the real recipie needs sugar but I used splenda.
1tsb low sodium soy sauce
1/4 tsp powdered ginger if you have fresh ginger it is way better
1/2 tsp granulated garlic use real garlic if you have it
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 packet splenda
couple dashes of oyster sauce or fish sauce (leave out if you dont have)
mix all the above and add raw thinly sliced chicken breast
let marinade for an hour or less
heat up a skillet or wok and add in you favorite cooking oil, i use 1.5tsb organic canola oil
crisp up the chicken just takes a few min.
if you are not eating carbs serve over a bed of thinly diced cabbage if carbs are ok then server over a bed of rice.
i sprinkle on one more packet of splenda to give it that sweet and spicy flavor.
