Doc tells me my cholesterol is over 10
That i can have a heart attack. Want
Put me on meds. Should i be worried??

10 mmol/L = 385.95 mg/dl= Not Good!

You need to do some serious lifestyle changes. Do you have a family history of Hypercholesterolemia? To say your going to have a myocardial infarction is speculation on your physicians behave, although the associated risked is evident when looking at a Total Cholesterol that is this high. Do you have any of the other sub fractions of your labs? I'm sure they're not good.

You should be worried if you choose not to do anything about it. Like Stewie said, it's either your lifestyle or you have a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol. I have the latter. For me, without meds my cholesterol is 350. On meds, it goes down to 130. If you get on meds and your cholesterol lowers slowly and gradually, it's most likely the lifestyle.

My total last checked was 7.2 I'm from uk.

However my hdl was 2.6 and LDL the remainder. I'm natty eat free range eggs grass fed beef when ever I can and do conditioning several times per week along with a 1 hour + walk with the dog every day. I don't smoke or drink.

The doc stated he wanted me back again in 3 years to check again so wasn't that concerned. The more I try to learn about cholesterol the more confusing it is knowing what to believe

Are you sure he did not mean 3 months?

Drop to a TRT dose and get on the meds! Listen to Stewie's advise because to answer your question, yes, you are in trouble!! What was your BP and heart rate? Also, clean up your diet where you can!!
