Chronic Acid Reflux while on Gear

Seems like ever since I started pinning last year, the acid reflux is constant. Throughout the day about one or twice and hour, it feels like someone lit a firecracker deep down my esophagus. It lasts for about 10 seconds and then subsides. Sometimes I have some tums nearby and sometimes I don’t. My current cocktail is:

250mg TestC Once a week
500mg Mast Split twice a week
400mg NPP Split
400mg EQ Split

Does anyone else just “accept” that acid reflux goes along with being on gear?

I’m taking Famotidine (20 mg) twice daily, but it still creeps up on me during the day.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Welcome to the club :D

My doctor prescribed me omeprazole recently. So far it's working very well for me. I still have indigestion though so the issues continue.

Haven't antacids been linked to chronic kidney disease?

It comes with the territory. My immunos are the main culprit though. I use zantac 2x a day and it does the trick most of the time.

Thanks Rambo.

I ran that with some success, but isn't omeprazole meant to be a 14-day treatment and not repeated for another 4 months? (Not that I'm one to bother with such details. heh heh)

I've been on Nexium for a year now. :banghead: Tren seems to be the main culprit for me, but the others(aside from test) do affect it as well, just not nearly as much.

A calcium channel blocker will always have less side effects compared to a proton inhibitor. That's why I stopped taking prevacid.

I have chronic heartburn w/out the gear, even worse while on. I take omeprozole 40mg per day which helps 90% of the time....

Thanks Rambo.

I've heard of people getting them prescribed indefinitely before. My grandfather is prescribed Nexium long term but then again a doctor in the middle east prescribed it so not sure. My problem is I am anemic and these proton pump inhibitors seem to inhibit iron absorption so that's why I stopped taking them before. I'm not too sure to be honest. I also was given a script for a GI specialist. If I ever make the appointment I can ask.

I got prescribed it a couple weeks ago and the past few days I've had nose bleeds which can be a sign of low iron. I'm concerned that my iron supplementation is now suffering because of it. Blood work should tell soon hopefully.

Are you taking an A.I?

Progestins and elevated estradiol can cause GERD by lowering esophageal sphincter pressure. The pathophysiology of gastroesophageal reflux has been observed with females on hormone replacement and contraceptives.

If I take Tren I get prescribed omeprazole to help with the acid reflux.

Every time I take orals or Tren I get acid reflux. 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar before breakfast and before bed and I have no issues. I just take it straight and wash down with water. Works just as good as any OTC

This might be my issue. I use no AI even on upwards of 1000mg of test a week. I started some adex recently because I read about high estrogen causing GERD.

I have chronic Acid Reflux when im on or off AAS. I have gone through every type of acid reducer, the last year or 2 I have been taking 2 nexium right when I wake up (half hour before my coffee and breakfast) and it helps but if i eat something spicy I need 2 zantac 150's later in the day.

The past couple summers when I was on gear I developed GERD, even though I was taking an AI (my estrogen was in check, but the years of acid reflux causes it). It was the most uncomfortable thing ever, felt like someone was standing on my chest. Could not lay down for hours after I ate. From all the blocking acid, even though the acid reducer keeps it from burning its almost like a bubble of acid creaping up the esophagus so you feel this immense pressure even though it doesnt burn bc of the Acid reducer (at least thats how the Dr explained it). The pressure is unbearable...

The Dr prescribed me Dexilant both times and it worked great. You take it like a month or 2 and it cures your GERD for a long time.

I'm about 6 weeks into a tren cycle, no acid reflux and usually by this time, it would be hitting me hard, also my appetite is great which it usually isn't this far into it.

The only thing I've changed this cycle is I'm using an A.I. I've actually been taking a little more than what is recommended. Not sure how bad that is for my estrogen, but I'm not having any sides so far except the nightsweats, other than that, it's been cake.

Apple cider vinegar helps me. I get it on tren and oxys but definitely try apple cider vinegar before going down another route

My response is the same. Definitely worth the try,,,APPLE CIDER VINEGAR.
This stuff literally works miracles. Good for what ails you. Incredibly effective for acid reflux.

I'm only running a small dose (250mg weekly) of TestC. But yeah, I don't like that slight pea sized tender tissue under the left nip AT ALL so I take .5mg of Anastrozole twice a week. That and plenty of B6 to combat Prolactin when I'm on Tren or NPP. (I don't run those at large doses either).

I tried swigging some Bragg's organic apple cider vinegar and have one question:

Is it SUPPOSED to burn like a THOUSAND SUPERNOVA SUNS going down?
