Chronic sinusitis?

Any one here able to cure their chronic sinusitis? I've tried all the typical remedies already including a turbinate reduction surgery. But it kept coming back. Lately it's been killing my sleep.

I guess I'm allergic to something either i'm eating or in the environment. I haven't been able to completely figure that out yet. The ENT said allergic testing can take a while which was why I got a turbinate reduction surgery instead.

You may want to look into FUNGAL SINUSITIS and other such things as well.

Reasons can differ. You need to see a specialist.

Invasive sinusitis may require surgery, so nothing to take lightly.

Cut dairy and see if there's any improvement.

I have had the same surgery and it helped a bit not much. I found for me what works is flushing my sinuses with warm water +salt (about a tablespoon in 8 oz roughly)+ a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (uses sparingly). Mix all this in a container and draw it into a nasal syringe. I flush out each nostril a few times in the morning and again at night. It stings a bit but that only lasts a few seconds. Your sinuses will drain fast so have tissues ready. Give it a try.

Had sinus surgery years ago and it did help tremendously, however the winter months (when the heat is on) are brutal. I do a saline sinus rinse but still find that my sinuses dry out and I get that headache behind the eye socket.

CPAP helps a little with it...

I would see an ENT (ear nose and throat Dr) to check for polyps and or cysts. I would also ask to have an indoor/outdoor and food allergy test done.

A few years ago I had several polyps and cysts removed from my sinus cavities. This in itself relieved a majority of my chronic sinusitis. Shortly after my surgery, I had an allergy test done. I had several minor food allergies. By removing a few of the food allergens: peanuts, strawberries, tuna, white rice and white potatoes, this alleviated all of my sinus issues.

How long did it take for you to do the allergy testing? I've already seen a ENT so I don't think I have any polps or cysts. She said my nasals were really inflammed. We decided on a turbinate surgery because allergy testing takes awhile. But I'm assuming there are different types of testing for this. I'm probably going to have to go that route.

I've been keeping a food diary but all I can come up with so far is that I generally breathe a bit better with a empty stomach. So I think it may be a food thats causing it. I guess I'll need to do a stricter elimination diet to find out.
