Considering buying Citrus Bergamot...
I read this comment below on a popular commercial site. Mentions that the supplement negatively affects oral drug metabolism...
(such as oral AS i guess...)
Does someone here have an opinion on this ??

Bergamot contains Naringin which can interfere with drug metabolism in the same manner as it does in grapefruit juice. Naringin inhibits P450 enzymes (CYP3A4) in the liver which are responsible for metabolizing hundreds of drugs. Bergamot is the substance in grapefruit juice that is responsible for turning off the P450 enzyme. It takes four days after drinking one glass of grapefruit juice for the liver enzymes to return to normal. Without the P450 enzymes to properly metabolize a wide variety of drugs, the improperly metabolized drugs can build up in the blood to toxic levels since the body won't excrete excess amounts of the drugs as it usually does.
If someone is taking drugs that are contraindicated with grapefruit, then they shouldn't take Bergamot. Everyone taking any medications should talk to their doctor about grapefruit, grapefruit juice and Bergamot"
