I use Gemini only for purchases from bank accounts. Be sure to use the "Active Trader" interface so you don't get raped on fees. Do not use the phone app. Coinbase kicked me off years ago for sending to "known drug affiliated accounts." If Gemini doesn't offer the coin, I use Changelly or Exodus to convert BTC. I don't hold on Gemini. As soon as it's available for withdrawal it goes to a cold wallet i.e. Ledger or Trezor. I prefer Ledger, to be mixed w/ coins I've acquired over a period of years. From there, if profits are to be taken, I send to a Bitpay wallet. From Bitpay I load or "sell" BTC to my Bitpay Mastercard converting to USD no conversion fees. I haven't been able to find the reporting (IRS) requirements for pre-paid debit cards. To be safe I limit this to 9k/< 10k akin to banking reporting requirements. The card will hold 25k. The money is then ready to spend, clean, wherever MC is accepted, including ATMs. If you need it back to your bank/checking acct, do this. Add your MC Bitpay debit to Venmo. Pay a trusted person whatever amount from your Bitpay debit, I pay my wife, for free. Have the person send the funds back to you using their Venmo balance that you just provided. Deposit to your bank account via Venmo and it is clean as long as under 10k/ deposit, for free. Tax free. LMK if you have questions.
Rex.
