comparing ex's to new "datee's"

has anyone ever done this? you go out with some one amazing. and then you catch yourself comparing the new person to someone you dated in THE PAST???

went on a great date this past week, and caught myself for the FIRST time NOT comparing this girl to my ex wife. this is the FIRST time i have NOT done this.

what about everyone else? do you compare new people you date to ex's????

I don't think its avoidable some cases you do it subconciously

^^^ very much agreed...all my g/fs say I do this...I dont even realize I do it either....I dont mean to but it does slip out
