There is always a lot of talk around here about from what pros do for shows to what regular guys run in the off-season.

There are also a lot of accusations about honesty or lack thereof.

I decided to did back in my notes and share what I did for my 2018 and 2019 shows. This is the 2019 Amateur Olympia at 5 weeks out.

I'll say in advance these are the first contests that I can remember where I ran trenbolone. I didn't need as much as I did and it was sort of experiment.

I competed drug free in my first show in 1988 and then again in 1997 after several years off. I only returned to the stage in 2018.

I pasted my notes into ChatGPT because I'm lazy 😉
Here you go:

To calculate the total dosage of all AAS (anabolic-androgenic steroids) per week for your 2019 Olympia cycle, we'll sum the dosages of each steroid:

1. **Tren (Trenbolone):** 800 mg per week
2. **Test (Testosterone):** 650 mg per week
3. **Mast (Masteron):** 400 mg per week
4. **Tbol (Turinabol):** 50 mg per day * 7 days = 350 mg per week
5. **Proviron:** 50 mg per day * 7 days = 350 mg per week

Summing these values:

- **800 mg (Tren)**
- **650 mg (Test)**
- **400 mg (Mast)**
- **350 mg (Tbol)**
- **350 mg (Proviron)**

Total dosage per week of all AAS = 800 + 650 + 400 + 350 + 350 = **2550 mg per week**

Additional compounds (non-AAS):
- **GH:** 5 IU * 5 times per week = 25 IU per week
- **T3:** 50 mcg per day * 7 days = 350 mcg per week
- **Aromasin:** 25 mg per day * 7 days = 175 mg per week
- **Nolvadex:** 20 mg per day * 7 days = 140 mg per week
- **Clenbuterol:** 120 mcg per day * 7 days = 840 mcg per week

That's it, straight from my notebook.

According to my logs it's the highest I have ever gone, hence I felt it most appropriate to share with curious members.

My off-season weight at the time was about 103kg and I needed to get in under the light heavyweight cutoff. I weighed in at 89kg. I am 172cm tall. I was 49, turning 50 exactly one week post contest.

I think it would be cool to see the diet changes leading up to the show. Obviously everyone is different, would still be nice to see.

My approach was very simple.

Protein always high, fats always very low, with carbs gradually going lower. The last 2-3 weeks my intra of 50g CCD might be my only carbs. Carbs were my lever for overall calorie reduction. I need to drop a lot to get hard. Growth relatively easy compared to prep for me.

I would go very low carb for most people, around 2-300g from 12-14 weeks out. Sunday would get a 3-400g carb up, with clean foods, bread being extravagant. No "cheat meals" with burgers or whatever. That will get cut in 1/2 at about 4-6 weeks out depending on condition and eliminated 2 weeks out.

I ended my 2018/19 preps at about 1000-1200 calories.

id imagine you probably tapered up to 120mcg on the clen?

When i used to run it even 20mcg-40mcg would make me a shaky mess when my receptors were fresh. hated that stuff

Yes indeed, but I started at 40mcg.
I have asthma and use albuterol so these β2 adrenergic receptor agonists are not a stranger to my system.

I actually use clen sometimes to help my asthma - it's quite effective especially for helping me sleep at night.

Did you like splitting the clen dose after a certain point or did you take it all at once?
 
I always took it all at once in the morning. Splitting it didn’t work well for me—too much of a crash later on. Taking it first thing helped avoid that.

Same - I think it has a 36 hour half-life so not much point spreading it out. I didn't get any shakes, again acclimated after decades of albuterol usage.

I don't know what's so strange about 2.5mg of letrozole every day for example is the norm in the last weeks of contest prep - the aim of preparing for a contest is to look the best, not to feel the best - these are two different things and you have to accept that you will feel like shit

Yea, I'm probably a moderate aromatizer, and I don't need AI in the off-season to keep my e2 in the normal range as long as Primo is in the right ratio to test.

I still use 25mg Aromasin per day the last 2-3 weeks of prep. I hear a lot of talk lately about "better" ways to ensure you're dry on stage, but I hardly hear of any big competitors who aren't tanking their estrogen.

Wow that is extraordinarily low....
Yeah, not fun at all. I can usually grow ok, shedding fat is another matter. I was also limited in how much cardio I could do, so i had to pull calories down.

Last week only that hard. I usually run it 2x a week. Sorry I wasn't clear.
My aromatization rates have changes significantly as I've aged, with less impact now than at 20 but I still have this as insurance in the last week.
Probably overaggressive, but this was also my most aggressive contest prep as I wanted a win at the AO.

Until about 6 weeks out I run what most would call an offseason cycle. 1200 test or 600 test and 600 deca / EQ. I might run Anadrol at 50-100 a day if I felt I wasn't where I needed to be or needed strength.
Tren was usually reserved for 5-6 weeks out. This time it was later and higher. Something I learned was extreme overkill for me. GH only in for the last 6 weeks or so for its fat mobilization and cosmetics.
 
Come in dry:
Superdrol 30 days out
4 days out add halotestin
2 days out pop 50 mg Anadrol day

Low dose winstrol and anavar can be added at your discretion

But superdrol will be king of dry and hard as nails
