Competition cycles from competitors

Yeah, not fun at all. I can usually grow ok, shedding fat is another matter. I was also limited in how much cardio I could do, so i had to pull calories down.

not everyone needs it. personally I never ate below 500g carbs and 4000 kcal during prep. Roman fritz is already the best example of this where he can't eat less than 1000g carbs because he loses weight and size in his own eyes

With the 2 training session he has every day and the length of each one may be some of the reason for his high calorie intake i tend to think.

Unfortunately I had to give that up.

There's atrophy and apparent nerve damage in the VMO and lateralis. Strength is ok in the gym, but the knees still buckle at random times, enough that I avoid going down stairs without handrails.

Also can't get my midsection issues sorted.

I remember seeing david dearth in canton, oh tear both of his when I was a teenager. He was also on a leg press.

No problem, it is better on the lipids. IMHO we already compromise them enough with our other pharmaceuticals.

I think it's not possible on a well-designed leg press. Mine, not so much.
 
My approach was very simple.

Protein always high, fats always very low, with carbs gradually going lower. The last 2-3 weeks my intra of 50g CCD might be my only carbs. Carbs were my lever for overall calorie reduction. I need to drop a lot to get hard. Growth relatively easy compared to prep for me.

I would go very low carb for most people, around 2-300g from 12-14 weeks out. Sunday would get a 3-400g carb up, with clean foods, bread being extravagant. No "cheat meals" with burgers or whatever. That will get cut in 1/2 at about 4-6 weeks out depending on condition and eliminated 2 weeks out.

I ended my 2018/19 preps at about 1000-1200 calories.

This is very interesting. I understand gradually lowering carbs as you taper into a show that's typical show prep. You seem carb sensitive and so was I. I would lower carbs but increase fats to compensate for energy. I found fats gave me energy but didn't store like carbs did. Eventually for my last show I cut out carbs completely months out using the keto diet and used MCT oil in my prep.
 
I don't know what's so strange about 2.5mg of letrozole every day for example is the norm in the last weeks of contest prep - the aim of preparing for a contest is to look the best, not to feel the best - these are two different things and you have to accept that you will feel like shit
Does 2.5mg of Letrozole crush e2 levels for most folks? For example if your taking a gram of test and 2.5mg of Letrozole everyday that should keep your e2 levels under 60.

Thanks I was wondering that as well. I think some people are definitely sensitive to AIs , perhaps they cause symptoms independent of e2 level.
