Competitors, Vets, whats the longest you stayed OFF and then made a comeback?

How long did you stay off?
What was it like?
What was it like in terms of body composition and the eventual rebound when you got back on?
 
I went off for 6 months straight last year. Felt awful, sex drive was non existent. Got depressed and started casually drinking, watching sitcoms, and eating like shit. However I was able to get on beginner dose cycles and see tremendous gains this year. It allowed me to enter a mindset of smaller doses again. A mindset that I intend to maintain from here on in. Easily my most successful year of competing, the break made me want it more than ever, helped me realize how much this lifestyle meant to me, and where/who I'd be without it.
 
12 years, didn't train for 8 of them I believe. After not training for 8 years worked out for 1 year before I hit gear again. When I started training again I was 250-260 fat 20%ish. Should have dieted down first, first cycle test decca dbol I put on 25 lbs and went to 275 (was 250 when started gear but still to damn fat). Kept on an permabulk and eventually hit 301 over next few years, fat as hell. Then dieted down for a contest to 201 a few years later.

It sucks training off gear. Everything seems heavy, pump is not there, always worry about over training, have to constantly watch what I eat (I'm a natural fatty), motivation not as good, look skinny in fat man clothes, and its a total mindfuck. Generally its almost depressing to train natural once you've trained enhanced.

I agree it sucks i went 2 years and one year i didn't train at all (injury) but the one year i was training and was not using it sucked major ass.:banghead:
 
12 weeks off everything after emergency surgery, no training, 2-3 meals a day, went from 240lbs to 200lbs.

Got back in the gym and got back to eating LOTS of meals daily (not clean diet but definatly enough food) 220 in 4-5 weeks, then jumped on 400 test, 300 deca for 8 weeks and blew up to 235.

currently 252lbs lean on 1000 test 450 tri-tren.

Its awesome to gain all the weight back really quickly, everyone notices how quickly you've grown. Muscle memory is the dogs bollocks.

If you watch that YouTube video of flex wheeler training in '02 you can see it all over his face that training natural is depressing once you've trained enhanced.
