I just got off the phone with my doctor who gave my my x-ray results back and I was shocked to say the least.
He says that my neck is "riddled" with arthritis, which is what's causing the weakness, muscle spasms and numbness in my right arm due to the bones pinching nerves. My right arm is about half as strong as my left.
Considering I'm only 30.......I'm so shocked. He even admitted that I'm very young to have it as bad as I do. He's referring me to a specialist before I start any therapy.
I feel very depressed and scared about what's going to happen next. I'm horrified that he's going to tell me not to lift anymore b/c I just can't live with that. That's can't be an option. I would opt for the surgery (which he doesn't recommend at this juncture) before that would happen.
I was hoping to get some insight from anyone who has arthiritis, but still continues to lift. Any excersises or supps that can help?
