Compounding pharmacy produces tainted steroid, causing Meningitis related deaths.

Investigators have focused on a steroid medication made by a specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts. All the outbreak patients had gotten shots of the steroid for back pain, a common treatment, and inspectors found at least one sealed vial contaminated with fungus.

Wonderful. I guess this means hrt guys such as myself should just stick to watson, sandoz and the other major pharmaceutical brands. I've never gotten anything compounded and you've given me even more reason not to.

these are only for injections into the spine for back pain...the meningitis (sp) then travels up the spine to the brain....Nobody here is pinning into their spine....and steroid is a very generic term for anti inflammatory.

All true, but this prompts me to question the standards of some compounding pharmacies. This time might be some anti inflammatory..next time could be some bros TRT vials...hope not though.
