Not sure if Mamoa is CGI muscled up but perhaps Stallone's trainers and special sauce HGH, etc... put on enough mass to play the part :headbang:

I have hope. Hell even Hollywood made Michael Keaton Batman and it was good enough to be watchable.

I know Mamoa is no great actor but I highly doubt anyone in bodybuilding today could have the acting chops to cut it. So trade off is someone that can act well enough to play the part but give up on mass. Even Arnold had a handful of lines in Conan the Barbarian and went well.

Can be worse than Conan the Destroyer (trying to pretend it doens't exist...lol).

BTW - Next year Star Wars is coming out again in 3D Episode 1-6 in order and 1 per year.

It's worth a watch, I'll check it out. Just need to keep in mind that it's not an Arnold Conan. Look how many different Batman's there's been, and imo they were all good in their own right.

Conan had a huge cult following which was mostly ruined when Arnold tried to portray him in the film.

Arnold = worst Conan ever (if you were ever a fan of the source material).

agree about arnold but disagree about the original conan being so small. most of the covers on the books were done by frazetta and depicted conan as more heavily muscled.

I reserve judgement until i actually see the movie. I actually thought Arnold did an okay job as conan. maybe Im in the minority though.

Well Mamoa def doesn't have enough mass but we will see how it goes since he does have the look (wicked war face...lol). What I do like is the fact that the new Conan has scars!!! No way in hell Conan can have perfect skin after the shit he has been thru. That was a fault with the Arnold Conan.

Lets hope I'm wrong, but judging by the trailers.. it seems more like Aladdin the pretty boy warrior than Conan the macho ale drinking barbarian.

I could deal with the lack of muscle size, but not that.

Perhaps I'm old school, but I don't like the CGI effects either.. too much of it.
