Contest prep n bronchitis

Ok guys just wanted some opinions here, I was just about 16 weeks out caught a bad case of bronchitis been off the gym for 8 days feel like I'm losing muscle already, I don't wanna drop cals much either if that would hamper my recovery any of u guys go through this ? I'm not sure when I shud train again I still have a viscous cough
 
high dose of all vitamins n minerals especially vit c, d, magnesium, zinc...
a few shots of whiskey or cognac with honey on empty stomach...
herbal detox teas few times a day.
sleep 8-12 hrs a few for a bit to rest... maybe use melatonin, 5-htp.
sweating a lot helps, walking in fresh air, don't know if heavy lifting will help or not... maybe not lift heavy for a few days to regenerate.
 
thanks illuminated, i am taking multis, and a zpak Day 3... getting better but VERY slowly... taking melatonin too, with 10 hr sleep per night, i know now theres no way i could train anything without hacking up a lung
