this may be a stupid question but....

with maltodextrin and dextrose coming from cornstarch, and waxy maize starch being another type of cornstarch, would one be able to use plain ole cornstarch for a carb source?

I use cornstarch PWO, seems to work great. But I thought it was pure dextrose? (no maltodextrin)

waxy maize is a high molecular weight complex carb that is supposed to replenish muscle glycogen better than dextrose or maltodextrin
