Cortisone shot water retention?

I just had a cortisone shot in my hip yesterday and I'm in the middle of a cut and my weekly weigh in a pics were this morning and I'm up a few pounds looking a tad softer from last week which is odd as nothing has changed except for the shot yesterday has anybody experienced some water retention after one of these shots?

Cortisone shots do cause water retention.

I was looking into one for my shoulder pre contest and I explained to the Dr. what I was doing and I didnt want it to affect my look and he said it will most likely cause some temporary water retention but not too worry. Well I did worry lol as I was 4 weeks out and as you know, at that stage of prep its a whole other level of mind fuckery, so I postponed it as I didnt want to do something stupid and screw up my prep.

I ended up not getting the shot, pain went away (always does) but not completely, when I started putting on some water weight, I will have to get it checked out and fixed.

never had that from a cortisone shot predisone yes, on doses for more than a week.
