I included eating out which is the killer. Also we keep a plethora of fresh fruits on hand. I also tend to like fresh seafood which can get very pricey even at home. Fresh Tuna, Snapper, Cobia, Grouper, Crab Legs (for her), Halibut, Langoustines (Scamp in Europe) . All are well over $10 a lb here and the Halibut and Sushi Grade Tuna and Langoustines (imported from Scotland) top $20 a lb.
As far as going out, we are going to Atlanta Fish Market tonight for dinner and I never get out of there for less than a hundred per person and it is usually higher. But that is getting nice assortment of fresh shellfish appetizers as well as entrees and wine.
I truly hesitated to put my spend in here but the fact is we are all at different places in our life and I happen to be older. I certainly remember the days of wondering if I had enough money for two $.52 Burger King Burgers when they were on special back in the day.
BTW, costs are down this summer as I caught several hundred pounds of Red Snapper, Pink Snapper, Grouper, Scamp, King Mackeral in the gulf about a month ago.
I spend at least $400 a month on whole foods. And thats bulk buying also. I stopped buying many supplements and increased my groceries by that much money and noticed better gains and strength.
