CottenSeed oil! Need Help!

I am going to buy usp grade cottenseed oil for intramuscular injection.Is it sterile in its form or do i need to cook it? Can i use a 20cc syringe and transfer it into a sterile vial and just take it out of there for injection? Confused

USP does not necessarily mean sterile. If it's not marked sterile somewhere, you have to assume it's not.

I'd use grape seed oil.
You have to filter/cook it all anyway .
