Seeing the many interesting things being talked about in regards to the coronavirus. I thought I'd share some useful podcasts that are worth a listen if you have extra time.
Attia's podcast is brilliant, he's a John's Hopkins trained surgeon who left to work in finance at McKinsey drawing mathematical models, and came back to medicine with a focus on longevity, and aging. Guy doesn't endorse anything outrageous, not backed by data, and is willing to look at evidence, data, and different points of views.
With Dr. Hotez: They discuss history of the virus and pandemics, prior SARs strain, transmission, plasma therapy, and virus pathology. I'd say the first 40 minutes give you a lot in terms of answers that many are confused about.
With Dr. Paul Grewal: More discussion of virus pathology, they mention the ace-2 receptor binding susceptibility, drug therapies (chloroquine, remdesivir, and ARB risk), and statistical significance of exponential growth and decay.
He's had Dr. Hotez on again for part 2, so that's worth checking out too, they talk about the increase spread of the virus, and the weekly changes that have come forth.
Worth looking at if you have time, and interested in the how and why of what's taking place.
