Crippling Ab cramps - need help

I take one scoop of Calm every night. I think it’s possible I could add to this in the am and also possibly bump sodium as well. I’m interested to see what my labs show. Will take the advice in this thread and see if I see any improvement. Appreciate everyone chiming in 🙏
I would use as little of Calm as possible. The absorption is terrible. It will go straight through you as very little makes it into the muscle tissue.

Thorne makes a good Magnesium Glycinate powder that’s 200mg per scoop. Glycinate or Taurate would be the two forms I’d stick to for absorption.
 
I would get terrible ab cramps only when dehydrated, doing abs and on orals var/winstrol… not sure if I was on Telmisartan at the time. Currently don’t need it. Whole abdominal wall would just go into a crunch and felt like I was getting stabbed with the slightest breath. Had to jump up and contort my body in a way and control my breathing for it to go away. Haven’t experienced it since.
 
If I train abs hard, they cramp HARD like you described. To the point, I am on the ground and people are asking me if I am ok. You can visibly see my abs tensing up. Then I have to CAREFULLY walk out of the gym because if I bend over or get into my car incorrectly, they will fire again. And then its gone. Until the next time I train abs hard.
 
The abs are the worst and the only ones that are very concerning. After my pull day it’s not uncommon for me to have some minor cramps in lats and forearms. The Abdominal cramps are so bad it’s hard to describe.

I have had this quite a few times. Usually it is a single ab muscle that basically locks up then the others start to constrict. I have to immediate drop to the floor and do some sort of yoga cobra shit to stretch it out.

Its gross as fuck.
 
Ab cramps are the worse . Normally if my abs cramp means I’m dehydrated . Magnesium and taurine help a lot along with plenty sodium before doing an ab workout
 
It’s crazy how bad it is and it looks like your maybe having a heart attack so it freaks out anyone around you. I’m going definitely add taurine and a proper magnesium supplement, probably add some more sodium. Lower the telmisartan and see how it goes.

Here is @bbxtreme breakdown of the diff types of mag. I use bisglycinate before bed and malate post training and my ab cramps have since subsisted.
 
Happens to me when I am dieting. Not otherwise. But if I'm dieting, and I train abs hard, then usually later that day while I am sitting down it'll cramp, and I'll basically be knocked out of my chair. When it happens in public I have to man up to not hit the floor flopping back like a fish to stretch it out. Lol.

Same shit happened to me about ten years ago. I was sitting in a chair getting a BJ and once I started cumming my right lower abs cramped up badly. To this day when I do cardio that same area starts to cramp up first before any other areas.
 
For whatever reason taurine has always worked pretty good for me, ill take 3 or 4 thousand mgs when i feel it coming on, and when im really getting lean i take it regular along with plenty of sodium , I know that's a bad word to bodybuilders but it plays a big role of course magnesium at night
 
Salt is a bad word for bodybuilders? Why do you say that? Most guys don’t consume near enough sodium. The myth that salt is unhealthy is just a myth perpetuated by those that don’t understand salt is healthy and we need lots of it. Better to have too much than not enough.

This. I don’t know a single bodybuilder in this day and age avoiding sodium.
 
I used to get them terrible on Tren. Cramps so bad I have actually blacked out. Taurine definitely helps but still got them. I could not leave the house without carrying around a few mustard packets. Might need to layoff and cruise for a bit Bro.
 
I feel bad for you just reading this. AB Cramps are not joke. Not fun, that is different level of pain
 
I was on the leg press one day and got abb and quad cramps. Barley got to weigh back on the rack and started shaking. A few people came over to help me. Then the gym owner ran over and said he was going to call an ambulance for me. I said no just give me a minute and they eventually calmed down.
