Crock Pot Shredded Chicken

1-pack Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (thawed or frozen)
1-bottle sauce (I used Frank's Red Hot Buffalo small bottle)
Set on low, for 6 hours (thawed) or 8 hours (frozen)...

Not only does it make the house smell good, its set it and forget it... and then before you know it, its done...

I had my wife put it on when she left for work in the AM and when I got home from the gym after work, it was done...

Tried this tonight, turned out great!! Thanks. I made them into Tacos
 
Here is one i did the other day and it was phenomenal. Kinda ingredient intense but well worth it

2 1/2 lbs chicken breast boneless skinless of course

2 tsp Chipotle chili, powder ( i didnt have chipolte chili powder so i used a few chipotle peppers in adobe sauce and dark chili powder )
1 tbsp Garlic powder
1 4 oz. can Green chiles
1 tsp Onion powder
1/2 cup Salsa ( i used green salsa , its what i had on hand )
1/4 cup Soy sauce
1 tsp Paprika, smoked
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cumin

Stick it in the crockpot on high for 4-5 hours . i shred the chicken in the crockpot then let it go for about a hour after that

The original recipe called for 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup coke but i left that out
 
I have been slow cooking chicken recently in the crock pot with vegetables. I agree, it is very good.
 
3 whole breasts, trimmed.
2 cans black beans, drained.
2 Tbsp taco seasoning.
2 Tbsp chopped jalapenos.
Handful of chopped cilantro.

12 hours on low. Chicken falls apart when you look at it.

Let it cool and parse out into about a dozen small plastic ware containers and into the freezer.
 
I'm glad i ran across this. i'm newish to the forum. but i've never posted. just read. lol. i've never cooked chicken in the slow cooker. gonna have to put something together tonight so it will be ready for tomorrow!!! :headbang: I just dont like spicy stuff...

I just went and got everything i need for this....was there any water or chicken broth added? i'm gonna let mine go on low over night....

I need to buy a Crock Pot. Think I'll stop on the way home. Any recommendations for brands/models?

Do you weigh your portions out? Just wondering how'd you get set 6,7,8oz of chicken accurately measured due to liquid
 
Maybe this is just me, but I would try this recipe with no water or broth added. I don't always add liquid with my chicken in the crockpot. It will cook in its own juices and not be mushy or watery when you cook it.

Crock pot is excellent for slow cooking

Yes that's perfect way to make chili, I like to make it and keep it on a low heat for several hours.
 
add a little franks red hot to crock pot shredded chicken and put it in a tortilla. tastes amazing.
