I think you will be hard pressed to come in where you want to be, especially in the legs and back..BUT, you have improved greatly. A lot of muscle there...keep working your ass off (no pun intended).

you look great bro (im no judge nor know a thing about competing) but i can tell you one thing, you're looking huge. How much do you weigh, height, bf, etc??

Thanks guys. I do definetly belive I am lilttle behind where i should be at this point. Although, I am not going to back out and will just have to work my ass of right up intill show time. I had alot more weight to lose this year and might of started off a lil to slow. hey i am 22yrs old so am still learning my body and in the future will not make the same mistakes. I really feel like I learned a ton about myself this past year and cant wait to put it all to work for a better offseason. I was always to small in the past and decided to take last year off to put on size and got a lil out of control but know that I have some mass i will not let that happen again.
I am currently 6 foot 246lbs dont know my b/f% I dont check it. I feel like if the calipers arent going on stage with me then I dont need them. I use the mirror and asses weekly with a good friend/competitor to make sure I am making progress. thanks again guys all input is appreciated...

BR, at a guess I would put you two weeks behind, at a guess. But nothing says you can't pull it in in the next four weeks. Start playing games with your carbs, as in, eat carbs one day and then drop them the next, eat only small amouts of carbs and keep your protein very high. Do not eat any carbs at night or after lunch, only greens like broccolli and green beans. Get some carbs in at breakfast and lunch. Water intake very high! Youn can do this!

You really need to be consistant with your diet. If you tried a different approach with some increased cardio (assuming you're not doing a shit ton right now), you can be where you need to be. Don't be afraid to get depleted at this point. Up your fats (almonds, EVOO, natty PB), drop your carbs way low, and stick to chicken and fish. Not saying that's the right way, but that's what I would consider.

well... I hate to say it but I have actually been on zero carbs for the last 12 weeks. The changes I made are now no cheat meals and I am also cycling my fats. I am doing no fats for two days and then reg. amount of fat for 1 day then repeat. I am also doing 1hr. and 50min cardio everyday. I know its kinda hard to belive. but my body is apparently very stubborn this year. I have already lost about 40lbs and just feel lkinda stuck. But this week will be good and I will get it done. I really want it bad this year. I have been working for 2 yrs for this one show.
My last show 2yrs ago I got my ass kiked. I was a heavyweight (215lbs) and it just wasnt big enough for my tall frame. So that is why I took last year off with 1 goal GET BIGGER. I do belive I made some big improovements along with a lil to much excess bodyfat. But overall I am pretty happy with my improovements. check out a shot from my last show in 2006...

You have got some nice size. I got behind on the last competition I did, and I can tell you a lot can happen in the next 4 wks. Hang in there and work hard. You can still kick butt if you really want too!

Sounds like dietwise your almost maxed out. Other than going 0 carb, 0 fats and upping the cardio for the next 4 weeks.

With that said if your going to do this thing I would like to see you switch your back poses around. When your keeping your legs straight instead of flaring the legs out (turning them out a little) its going to make your legs look smaller and softer AND make your ass look bigger. Work on that.

Look at how Quincy Taylor does his back poses. Very odd and it doesn't look good at all. Then look at how Dex or Ronnie do their back poses....legs turned slightly out giving the appearance of much bigger legs. Give it a try!

Its funny you mentioned that. Dave Palumbo just gave me the same exact advice this week. I have problems trying to balance and always just feel more comfortable straight back. Although, I will be woking on it and will get it down. Thanks for the advice.

Great minds think alike. Lol, jk.

I think it will make a huge impact on your back poses. Just widen the stance A LITTLE BIT and try and stay on the balls of your feet. It feels awkward at first, but it gets easier.

IMO I think it is unwise to drop carbs out so far out from a show, you can go low carbs but you need some small amount of carbs to kick the metabolism over in the AM. Then once you get to 5-4 weeks out play around with your carbs, it tricks the body into dumping the rest of the fat form those last weeks. Once you go zero carbs you have no escape hatch left in your diet, so you then sacrifice some hard earned muscle towars the end. Dieting does not need to be too complicated, just time! But at least learn from this one and make adjustments for next time.
