Who's paying theses shows to talk bad about supplements and call them drugs. In CSI last night they reffered to creatine as a performance enhancing drug and that it contributed to this cops death competing in some race because it was stacked with something else and caused an electrolite imbalance and cause cardiac arrest.

Ephedrine

I will tell you why the country murdered ephedrine.......it is simple... This country has a problem with methampetamines and meth labs etc... Ephedrine is the #1 ingredient. Take this out, and voila, life just got a lot tougher for meth heads.

not quite Ivan, the only thing the FDA banned was ephedra, the herbal version. Ephedrine HCL, which is what is used to make meth, is being sold.

As far as I know the way the combatted the dopers who were cooking up Eph and making Meth, was to add the Guaifenson product in most all Ephedring HCL products. It made it impossible to cook up the meth with this added product.

we really need a good spokesperson to represent us media wise on this topic, bringing up the good points about all the alcohol tobaco deaths in comparison to ephdra... and how 95% of all ephdra deaths were from taking it thier first time.. (heart problems) just put a disclaimer on bottle (before using this supplement go to your physican for check up ect.....)

I have not seen any ephedrine products sold anymore in any of the convienience stores anymore. WHy ban one and not both?? Oh, and which is more potent? Ephedra or ephedrine? Why the two different forms???

I just bought a box of primatene tabs containing 12.5 mg ephedrince hcl per tab and guafenisen. Ephedrine IS still being sold, but that's because ephedrine is what is used in most MEDICINAL products while ephedra is what is used in most WEIGHT LOSS products. That my friends, is the difference. We can't let something that actually works be in any weight loss products in this country now can we? Once the brilliant government figures out that we can use EPHEDRINE for fat loss and performance enhancement, it will be banned as well.

Ephedrine is made frome ephedra but ephedra is not have the amount of ephedrine standardized, which has fundamentally always been a problem for me.

Ephedra didn't really hit the supplement market until YEARS after the popularity of ephedrine in the supplement market. The goal with ephedra is to take an amount that would give you the equivalency of 25mg ephedrine. Since ephedra IS NOT standardized is a person suppose to take 50mg or 200mg of ephedra to get the same effect. This amount MORE THAN LIKELY varies between different brands of ephedra.

Myself, I NEVER SAW or bought into the ephdra craze. I just take my ECA with REAL ephedrine (which I know is 25mg - no more, no less), which I just bought legally (without that other stuff in it), which HAS NOT been banned.

I keep hearing ephedrine is still being sold...I have checked most of the stores the used to carry it around here and it is gone. I would really prefer to get 'pure' ephedrine than one mixed. I have found a couple sites that sell pure pharmaceutical brand ephedrine but want to make sure they are legit. If its still legal why can't I find it locally?

I don't know about where you are but I just bought a bottle of the ephedrine guafenisen blend at a cumberland farms gas station in my town... dunno why it isn't around where you are
