Current Offseason Diet

Whey is really thin and not very filling. I like using a mix with some thicker proteins (casein).

whey iso with fat is fine too, it's not going to make a difference in the long run

Is there a specific blend you like? Do you believe that whey iso is a higher quality protein tho, or are we just splitting hairs in the small amount of extra fats and lactose in the blends

Shelby, thanks for sharing the diet.

Are the red palm oil and grapeseed oil good for healthy fats? Kind of the same as coconut and olive oil? Same healthy benefits?

I like using a variety of oils (grapeseed, olive, macadamia nut, coconut, etc.).
I've also heard Dr Serrano say (or rather suggest to a a friend of mine) to change up oils every 8 weeks or so - like 8 weeks olive, then 8 weeks grapeseed, etc. I just use a variety on a daily basis.



I train 4 days per week:
Mon - chest/delts
Wed - back
Fri- calves/arms
Sat - legs

Not sure on macros



I really like this training split! I'm going to have to give this a go. Looks perfect :)

Being from the UK...whats a cup of oats measure,ie raw weight in grams??...same with a cup of rice...so basically...whats a cup???

Here is a detailed look at what I’m currently doing for nutrition in the offseason. I’m not pushing calories too hard, but am keeping them high enough to maintain a 235-240 lb bodyweight and support intense training. In another month or two I’ll start increasing calories a bit in an effort to push my bodyweight closer to 245-250 lb.

Liking the rice crispys...i do something similar with coco pops..not as much as that but i cant drink my protein as it gets me bloated, so i mix it as a thick paste and eat it direct out the shaker with a spoon...so i then add the coco pops..in the off season/bulk phase that is...

I prefer Karboload

Have you used the branched dextrin? Any difference here between it and karboload you notice?

Do you think there is a large benefit with pepto pro over bcaa? I get bcaa for free I wondered if you felt it was much more beneficial to use pepto

Shelby is my current coach and I have to say guys...he is well worth the money. He really is in tune with each person and how they react to the diet. He makes changes when needed. I only purchased the 12 week diet plan but will continue for another 12 weeks but adding the training segments too. Can't wait for that.

My goal is to get as lean as I can before starting the next 12 weeks. My weight is slowly dropping but what's awesome is my strength levels either have gone up weekly or have stayed the same. I'm using more weight now on the main lifts at a body weight of 191 than when I was 201 just weeks ago. My energy levels stay the same all through the day, probably the fats, cuz my carbs are pretty low right now.

I highly recommend Shelby guys. You can't go wrong.
