i dont have much time tonite but ill be back in the next day or 2, it was a small vein in my right forearm that clogged, it was located by an attractive older (40s) woman . who showed me the screen when she found it..the bloodwork today was a full metabolic panel and lipid profile but thats all, IDK about any specific tests but when i get the results ill post them here, he said he would have them in a day or 2 and i told him that i want paper copies.

Thor. Has any physician told you that you have either high homocysteine levels, protein C or S deficiency or factor 5 Leiden? Or has made mention of any clotting disorders?

As for your hypercholesterolemia, this is an associated risk factor for thrombosis as it is. Now, I'm not saying this is the direct cause just letting you know that there is an independent risk factor with hypercholesterolemia.

Are you or have you been on any thyroid hormones, T3 or T4?

1) no
2) i was on T3 off and on 2 weeks on 2 weeks off but only did that a few times in the last 6 months

My apologies, I thought it was your left arm.

Was it a superficial clot in your forearm? And not a upper extremity DVT?

Huge difference between the two. The former is not as serious as the latter.

Totally agree. If this is a superficial blood clot thor....this could be as simple as you slept on the thing for 6 hours during a 8.5 hour slumber....(not kidding)

Im not sure how i would know that? all i know is is was painful and slowly got more painful til it was almost unbearable and constant,i lost a few nights sleep and a week of work before i finally went in and he got me pain meds and ordered the Ultrasound, but if i had to guess i would say it was minor, it looked to me like a tiny vein running lengthwise in my forearm, i mean compared to the big one on the inside of my elbow that they always take blood from

yea i sure hope so, and its entirely possible, i have woken up in the middle of the night many times over the years cuz my arm is either pins and needles or numb or painful, i am a side sleeper and am always trying to figure out where to put my arm

Superficial means on the outside of your arm. The vein whether big or small would be red, painful and tender...it would almost look like a spider bite but running up the vein (like inches)...it would probably feel like a hardened cord on the outside of your arm (again whether the vein was large or small in diameter). Is that what you experienced?
