Darknet is a tough one...You can find yourself fucked if you don't know where you're going!

The usual sites are going down left and right now that Chainalysis is working with the govts to trace btc around from those sites and their owners.

Easy to get your comp and accounts hacked if you're not safe going out on the Onion!

If you're looking to visit something like Wikileaks, that's easy enough...Get yourself a masker, Tor and WL has their onion site listed all over the place on the clear and darknet.

BTW, speaking of the DN market places...Have any of you guys seen the petitions going on asking for the Feds to commute Ross Ulbricht's sentence...Like that's going to happen, dude got caught trying to hirer hitmen on his own fricken site lol?!

Search for "DNM Bible" to get started. The basic idea is to install a secure version of Tails (a flavor of Linux) on an encrypted flash drive, then use Tor to go to darknet market sites only when booting from the flash drive. There's no way to get a virus when only a small part of the drive with the OS is writable and you haven't mounted your hard drive.

Read the DNM Bible carefully and understand each part fully before attempting to buy things from these sites.

Would definitely recommend Tails...Haven't bothered with it in many years but would recommend it to anyone that asks!

I doubt you would ever find anything relating to the Illuminati anywhere on the Clear or Darknet. Those that rule this planet financially are not going to be putting anything out anywhere on the internet. Any films, history or collections they would have on anything about them would be kept the same as Vacitcan does I'd imagine, in secret underground storage rooms.

Like most have said, for the normal Darknet user, most sites you will find will be drug, porn and carding sites. Most sites you are able to find won't even allow child porn because they want to stay furthest down the line on the list of government exposure.

do you know if you can safely look into wikileaks etc on clear web ? or could even that open a can of worms?????

I understand your curiosity and feel the same way, but I remember the time I had ransomware on my PC and all the trouble it caused. Ive had viruses too, and the trouble they cause just isn't worth the risk to me. A bit of fear is healthy!

Its really not, been on the DN since freshman year of college 7 years ago and had no idea what I was doing then. I wouldn’t go randomly running all over the place but going directly to known sites you have links for isn’t a huge deal. I’ve never had any issues in that time

No it's not hard at all...You can actually install software on a site that when the person clicks on 'accept these terms' type shit, that it is giving the site permission to bypass to your true ip address.

But also on the flip side of that...Many of the ip masking services offer a kill switch, so if your ip cuts out or is bounced it will shut off your internet flow immediately, so your real ip is not identified.

So like everything else, a cat and mouse sort of game.

See swim15 is talking basics...Being able to go out onto the dn when you already have an web addy to directly input IS easy. But the op is talking about how to navigate and find things without having anyone to provide him with a web addy...That's a different ballgame entirely.

So going directly to a web address is easy since you are going right there and nowhere in between? I think the issue would be then if you can trust everyone on that site to not be malicious? What if someone on there decides to mess with you? I can see the point that navigating on the dark net would be really dangerous since you don't know anything about who is running around there.

That would be the same as any website you visit whether here or there...You obviously have to trust the site and those that run it are legit.

please stop with the fear mongering with this talk of key loggers, ransomwear, etc...

thats all preventable by running tails OS as a live cd in a virtual machine.
or burn the tails OS ISO to USB(or DVD), and boot your physcial machine from that media
to be 100% secure, disconnect your hard drive.. but you should be fine since tails doesnt mount your
hard drive, and you have to go through a series of steps to enable root access.

accessing DNM is easy breezy... you can download the tailsOS ISO below.. there are guides on how to browse without
leaving eletronic tracks on your local machine.. clue.. simply disconnect your hard drive, or use tails from a machine that doesnt have a hard drive.. no hard drive.. no key logger, no ransomwear none of that..
you have to put in a bit of work to be secure, but once you read and do it a few times, its a breeze beyond that.

^thats what I did at one point - have tails on a USB drive that I used on a burner laptop as well.

The DN really isn’t that crazy like most are talking about here. I wouldn’t just wander around like said but get on, do your business, and get off. Not that hard
