Yes RIP no doubt but if gear is what’s killing bodybuilders it’s not via cancer. Heart and kidneys Mayhap but cancer is generally exposure to toxins or more often than any reason genes. Sad to see him go I’m 11 months younger but I’m not sweating my test giving me cancer. An enlarged heart maybe but….. seems like he had the life he wanted though.

I hate that these threads can never simply be condolence threads, and there always has to be at least one or two posts downplaying the role of Steroids or PED's in the person's early death. And often irresponsibly so, as in this case, where AAS have been positively and definitively correlated with certain types of cancer.

In this case, Dave (RIP!) died from metastatic lung cancer, while having none of the normal lifestyle risk factors for it (smoking, etc).

FWIW, Metastatic lung cancer is one of the forms of cancer that's most positively correlated with high circulating levels of IGF-1, specifically IGF-1R. If there's any form of cancer that someone who used high-levels of HGH would be more predisposed to, it's MLC.

And before someone tries to argue that "GH doesn't cause cancer, it just speeds it up once you get it", that's horseshit bro-cope too.

It’s condolence threads that will likely never get seen and is something that we need to talk about whether it’s saying we don’t believe it’s gear or like with guys like Piana Or definitely Dallas it was we live the lifestyle and it’s on peoples minds to which I replied and you confirmed what I said. I said gear and we don’t know what he took but there are times it’s relevant. If I die I don’t want RIPs if it’s gear related I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW AND LEARN FROM IT.
