DC question about widow makers

So I have some nerve damage in my neck. long story short, right bicep and delt are much weaker than my left.
Did incliinde curls today with 30's for 17 rest paused.
IF I tried that with 40's id probably get 5 tops with the way my right arm is.
So question is. Would it be a good idea to add in a widowmaker set to try to bring the strength back in that arm?

As for the injury, it will get stronger if I work it. I've apparently had this for some time but my lay off from training has exacerbated the weakness.

I can only speak from personal experience, but whenever I've had injuries, specifically ones that seem to linger, I add a high rep set, not to failure, but to burn level.

My reasoning is to just pump a lot of blood into, and work the muscle. It seems to work for me.......

Short answer..........yes. :p

Exactly this.

I wouldn't even look at set training styles and would just mix things up. With the thought process of approx 15-30 reps never to complete failure and minimal rest periods. Train your arms like you want to pump as much blood into them as possible without every risking your injury. Even if you were not injured for arms this is one of the best mindsets to have imo. Curling 2 plates a side on ez bar can be good and all but is usually asking for trouble. I really like to superset arms either with the same muscle group exercises or actually rotating from bi-cep to tri-cep each set.

Yeah. Another thing that greatly contributes to strength is how well all of the muscle fibers contract together in their motor unit. With training stimulus the motor unit can become more efficient and then stronger without even actually increasing the size of the muscle.

I think I would do an extra set or two for the weak arm using the dumbbell. Do high rep sets, 15 to 20 reps.
