I been doing typical Dc training split and have realized that I am in the gym a little to long. anybody else does dc and dont like the fact it takes a little longer?

2 way obviously takes longer, especially if you are on the stronger side. and if thats the case you might want to consider the 3 way. thats the split i use, and it takes me anywhere from a hour to an hour and a half depending on the workout.

x2

that's including the warmups and stretches, and also training with a partner (which adds time)

1 hour in total max.
I train alone and only ask for spotter in barbells exercises.

I am utilizing a 3 way split and I am usually in and out in about an hour including changing clothes. Sometimes longer depending on the workout, but an hour is about average for my training/stretching.

I'm either a weak stick or doing something wrong. I used the 3 way split and was never in the gym longer than an hour. Maybe 45 mins max...

Im with you brother.
1 hour in the maximum counting changing clothes etc :D

for me...

PUSH- 45 minutes
PULL- 45-60
LEGS- 60+ (thanks to the widowmakers and stretches)

PUSH days fly by for me. They don't push me into as much of an oxygen debt.

With the 3 way split, you train each muscle once a week or you have 4 sessions total per week?

Takes between a hour and a hour and a half depending on the workout including warm ups, stretches and i have a training partner.

It's slightly more frequent than that...

Monday - Back Biceps
Tuesday- Chest Shoulders Triceps
Wed- off
Thursday- Legs
Friday- Back Biceps again

Each calender week one muscle group gets hit twice, in the end everything is done about every 5 days.

For me the 2 way split takes about 60-75 minutes depending on the crowd in the gym. When I was doing the 3 way without any widows(for extra time to do cardio) it was typically 30-40 minutes.

I work the two way with a partner and we're done in an hour and 15 mins with stretches, not including cardio. We hardly rest between bodyparts tho, just long enough to get there and setup.

Same split I do.

thats what im doing and with a partner it takes me 60 minutes usually exactly...including a light warm up to start the show.;)

we're talking an hour or less. I don't like taking long rest periods on DC, though. As soon as I'm done with one exercise and the stretches, I'm already eager to go kill myself on the next.

DC is great for masochism, but bad when you're tired.

2way take me 2 hours with a workout partner. Its the Back thickness lifts that take so long we are up to some pretty heavy rack pulls so that take a while.

3way takes about 1.5 hours. But thats just me and my workout buddy

THanks guys for the feedback. The two day split is killing me. Its kinda like working at a restruant and getting tired of the food. But i have seen improvements in size and strength by doing it.

I don't train DC, but trained that way before... anyway, i usually train with low volume... and it takes me 25-30 minutes max.... sometimes i feel like i'm doing something wrong
the trainers make fun of me all the time :)

How many exercises are you doing per body part?
