Maybe you do burn more calories TP, but the training that built the muscle(off-season) is the best way for precontest. The goal for pre-contest is to hold muscle muscle mass. That's right you don't have an off-season... Your need to start getting serious about that! If you do too many sets, reps or workouts, you will be overtaxing the body. You say you gain... most would lose TP doing this, causing their muscles to appear flat and less dense.
