so i have been getting some different opinions from buddies at the gym on decline verses flat bench for size and strength. so i wanted to know wut the pros think as i havent really experimented with decline bench. i asked RC a couple days ago. he hasnt gotten back to me.

useless

decline bench is useless - there is no "bottom chest" it's just Pectoralis Major/Minor which means Incline/Flat bench - i've never done decline and my chest looks pretty good, the muscle rolls down as it grows so don't worry about it

i wouldnt say decline is useless at all. i like doing decline and incline. i dont really like doing flat bench. but they all work just fine

i like decline for these reasons:
1)i can use more weight
2)less tendency to bounce(i dont do it much anyways)
3)feels better on my shoulders than flat
4)i like the stretch and angle im pressing at. feels good man.

Decline bench press, Olympic bar(OB)---------89
Push-ups between benches --------------------88
Flat dumbbell bench press -------------------87
Flat bench press (OB) -----------------------85
Flat dumbbell flyes --------------------------84
