Deep sea "Dorry" is delicious

I've been on the search for a fish to replace tilapia with and I have found one that tastes awesome with no hint of fishiness whatsoever. It is called deep sea dorry. It says packaged in New Zealand so I imagine it is caught somewhere down there.

I pan fry 4 fillets (100 cals each and 20 grams protein each for total of 400/80) with non-stick spray seasoned with sea salt and lemon pepper. Then I dice up a ripe tomatoe and throw it in at the end.

This fish blows tilapia out of the water as far as taste. I can't believe I haven't heard of it until I saw it in the store and gave it a try. Anyone else eat dorry?

I have not heard of it but im checking it out, I can eat salmon everyday but get very tired of tilapia, thanks for the heads up bro.

I've never seen it in my neck of the woods, imagine it would be pretty expensive here.

It's cheap where I am at. It is $3.99 for a pound here at Giant Eagle. Comes in one pound bags frozen and there are four 4oz fillets to a bag. I could easily smash 2-3 bags in bulk mode. All together 80 grams of protein for 3.99 cant beat that.

gonna have to check that out....its hard to find frozen affordable fish that isn't from china or the like.

dorry is delish!!! i have had it actually visiting new zeland and it tastes NOTHING like fish and pact full of protien, a good find but hard to get here at most super markets in the USA

Deep sea dorry is one of my favorite. It beats tilapia by far.
