Devastating....horrible beyond belief

Something happened this morning that is one of the most horrible things that have ever happened in my involvement in the sport. I lost (and you guys lost) one of the best people in bodybuilding....and I am mad and im devastated and I am beyond words right now. Someone I went back 15-20 years with and have texts going back so long its unfathomable. Ive talked to his wife and I am a person that respects the sacredness of the family unit. She will let everyone know when she is ready. He had two young boys and I just cannot fathom them growing up with out him. (it destroys me) This is just an awful day and Im going to sign off and collect my thoughts

OK, I just want to say something...

this might sound selfish as fuck and may seem like I'm making it about me, but I promise I'm not because I'm sure John effected so many the exact same way

John had always reminded me of my own father. the patience he had, how he wanted to share what he'd learned over the years with anyone who would listen, to the way he would interact with his awesome kids. I knew John very casually, we knew one another by name, a couple little details, and it didn't really go further than that

now, today, he passes at the tender age of 49; the same age my father died when I was 17. the good truly do die young... don't they?

John was a Catholic. He was on a Catholic YouTube channel a few months back.

I'm sure he would appreciate your prayers now, as it is Catholic belief and practice to pray for the departed.
