Dextrose, Karbolyn or Vitargo after Insulin?

What about intra with no slin?

I find that's helps a ton when dieting and on low carbs. I love it. Intra carbs no slin and not many carbs the rest of the day but most guys using slin are trying to gain so will be using carbs/intra/slin.

Now there are ways (dangerous) to use slin without carbs and gain a little while losing fat but there another topic for another day

Never used insulin but logically basing the insulin dose off the carb intake makes much more sense than vice versa.

Currently my peri workout is:

Pre:
50 g carbs (cream of rice)
50 G protein from whey ISO
10 g fat almond butter

During:

3 scoops intra md so 90 g carbs

Post:
6 oz grass feed beef 90/10
2 cups white rice

So if I'm taking humulin r ~10 mins before the gym which is after my preworkout meal, I need the insulin to cover 180 g carbs? Because that's during and post making the preworkout amount of carbs irrelevant to the insulin dose?

Am I understanding correctly or should the humulin dose be based of the intra shake then just make sure I get a good meal in after?
 
I'd say you are fine. 10 min before gym then yeah that slin won't be kicking in until you start working on the 2nd and 3rd carb intake which amounts to 180gms. Aleast that's my non-degree opinion :)

I've never used either. So ~18 iu seems a lot for first time seems high.

18iu is way too high in my opinion.

also remember that slin has "waves"... you can cover 10g per iu the first few hours, but still go hypo hours later when the second wave hits...

do NOT start that high brother... id start at 5iu and every few times maybe go up 2iu till you get to 8, 10, 15 whatever...

do whatever you feel is best, u make your decisions...if u wanna use R for intra, personally i would eat that pre meal an hour before training... then hit the R 15min pre,then do a MA type protocol w a pre/intra/post shake and solid food after...

i personally would start at 4 or 5iu and go up from there... you will probably get a small feel(if u don't fuck up bad) of what going a lil hypo feels like at some point in the first few weeks when your finding out how your body reacts... it is a bad feeling, and something you wanna experience definitely at a lower level than right off the bat with a big dose like ~20iu R and then get in trouble...

Eating my rice now so it's been 2 hours since I pinned. Did my cream of rice hour before training and pinned 15 mins before. Sure it's completely mental but I felt good. Gonna stay at this dose this week, go to 8 next week if all goes well.

So far so good. Thanks for the help Pit and NY.

The biggest thing I have faced with slin is the carb issues.
They make me instantly bloated and Make me feel like crap.
what I found was that nothing but HBCD from true nutrition has fixed everything. It's like I didn't take slin at all yet get the benefits.

Humalog and humalin r I prefer to do intramuscular.
I'll do subq depending on time.

Humalog:
I do two shakes because for me I'm cleared in two hours.
1st shake (with 15iu slin shot) 75grams hbcd with 20grams eaa's
2nd shake (hour after first) 75grams hbcd with 20grams eaa's

humalin r:

15iu 30 minutes before work out

1st shake (15 minutes prework)
50grams hbcd with 20grams eaa's

2nd shake (60 minutes after 1st shake)
50grams hbcd with 20grams eaa's

3rd shake (60 minutes after 2nd shake)
50grams hbcd with 20grams eaa's


I'd like to add in cream of rice to each shake but Idk
If the excess carbs will bloat me or cause any discomfort
during the slin windows.
I don't need to puke up my stuff.
