Dextrose

honestly I don't really like oats pre. Too much fiber and it bloats me and makes me feel super full and sluggish during my workout. nothing wrong with using dextrose pre/intra. or if you want to do whole food pre....I prefer cream of rice

Don`t eat it raw. And have it 2 hour before training.
 
Because I can't physically handle much food for more than a few weeks.

I'm my best when I'm eating minimal carbs from food and replacing them with liquid short acting carbs.

And ive replaced a lot of my protein with EAA.



What does the rest of your macro and micro nutrients look like? Getting sufficient?

I don’t eat it raw. I cook it. I’ve tried steel cut, quick oats, rolled oats....they all bother me. I still have a bowl occasionally because I like the taste....but I can’t do it on a regular basis without causing myself serious gastric distress
 
I'm on a 40/40/20 ration. Slowly adding carbs in. I have never played around with intra drinks or anything like that. So I wanted some input to see what would be the best option. Since I do fasted cardio it sounds to me either do intra hdcb with eaas or a protein shake with oats before my lift

I do not have problems with 90 grams only on training days. In the past I was going to have about 350 grams of oatmeal a day, and it was very heavy for my stomach.
 
I love the taste of oatmeal aswel but pre workout for me it just doesnt work!! Id have to eat it about 3.5 hours before training for it to clear my system (and i train at 5.30am)

Here in the UK we dont cream of wheat or whatever you guys call it so ive used baby rice as a substitute in the past when i was trying to gain weight, or with some of my clients who also find oats sits around too long!

Nowadays if i feel i need it il slam a few Haribow/jelly babies etc and also chew on a few while training. (and when i say a few i literally mean a small handful, just enough to raise blood sugar a little!)

80 gms Fast acting Carbs minimum, pre and / or intra.
Even if Cutting, this is the one time you want insulin to Spike...No?

I don't really know.
1.5 pounds of meat with mixed veggies. Pasta here and there and 50 liver tabs a day lol

I do! I like a gatoraide mixed with aminos added dextrose sometimes, with other sups and vitamins if using slin i add dextrose works for me even when cutting down
 
Even if Not using Slin...Spike your own during this time...
Pre or intra Spike, then replenish glucose post ASAP...
Save your Slower carbs for your time behind the Desk or Nap...lol
