To add to this:

How this happened, the doctors don't know, but they put forward a possibility we think you should read. "There is potential for these injectable products, procured from questionable sources, to contain contaminants, other drugs or toxins, which could be an unknown cause of the presenting symptoms."

Yet another blow to all the people in the fitness industry that promote this endeavour as "healthy" LOL He was probably doing all chicken, brown rice and olive oil as well.

How did you come to the conclusion that Tren A caused the diabetes? Why couldn't bovine GH be a cause?

""Excess growth hormone has been shown to cause symptoms of acromegaly which predisposes up to 40% of patients to diabetes"; clearly its the bovine growth hormone.

"the correlation of the timing of events and the use of this veterinary growth hormone likely exacerbated an underlying condition or caused this new onset diabetes. " correlation not causation..

also "Conclusion: We report a case" A CASE, not 10, not 20 hell not even two
one guy..

sorry guys but unless there is concrete evidence.. I'm gonna stick to tren, and not try any bovine growth hormone.

Bovine growth hormone... Can you imagine... guy thought he was getting hgh for dirt cheap, but instead gets bovine growth hormone, starts injecting it with his usual test/tren cycle.

Ends up at the hospital with diabetes..

and when they say supraphysiologic doses, they mean basically that you can do no more than 70mg a week test with no ester. Too bad no one has an account so we can read the whole study. costs $32.00...

the study says bovine growth hormone has been associated with diabeties,

so id feel pretty confident in saying it was the growth hormone and not the trenbelone

but thank you for posting, always interested to see different reports n cases

It's curious that they ran with the Tren angle only when one of the sources names BGH first. It seems obvious that it was the BGH that caused his troubles... but I'm no doctor.

id say its becoz tren is no allowed for human use so they made a possible assumption about its contribution since testerone has been studied and proven not to be associated with diabetes

DAMN! Thank you for the heads up

I am switching to Tren E :)

I'll try to get the full text through my university. I must admit it's a rather simple conclusion. He injected this and this so that's the cause of the problem. That's somewhat choosing the easy way out. Ofcourse they can never directly link these things but who knows what else this guy was doing?

Diabetes "linked" to trenbolone? C'mon, give me a break. You might as well retitle this thread to "Exercise linked to diabetes." Or "Weight training linked to diabetes." Or "Bodybuilding linked to diabetes."

There are two things that I'd like to point out:
1. "Linked to" is an empty, meaningless phrase that implies a correlation, but not causation. So saying that one thing is "linked to" another basically gives you zero information.
2. How would trenbolone cause diabetes? It wouldn't. There is no known mechanism through which trenbolone could cause diabetes. However, we do know that growth hormone reduces insulin sensitivity. We also know that some people are not genetically predisposed to tolerate a high carb diet well, like a traditional bodybuilder diet of chicken and rice. So combine these two factors, and you might have an answer as to why this 30 year old bodybuilder developed diabetes.

Let's see... We know that growth hormone causes insulin resistance. And we also know that growth hormone + insulin is a popular cycle. So, taking that into consideration, what if this guy was taking growth hormone and insulin? Would it be really so surprising if he developed diabetes?

Actually, his fault seems to have been that he didn't use insulin :D

While I certainly think tren is toxic and should be used with the greatest degree of caution...it is pretty hasty to read an abstract from a single case study that does not provide any reasonable evidence for a link between tren and diabetes and proclaim the two are related. On the other hand, the GH-insulin resistance link is much more documented and would be a more plausible explanation.

gawwwd this is all total bs. Tren isn't linked to diabetes for Christ's sake. It's more likely that all the simple carbs he shoved down his throat caused it and NOTHING else. If you're of the genetics that is predisposed to get Type II D and you're trying to gain a lot of muscle... well let's put this together.... lots of simple carbs to get a massive insulin response to shuttle all that protein and creatine into the muscles over a long period of time...well... what do you think happens? Did the article mention a predisposition in the family blood line? prolly not.

Next thing you know they'll say masturbation makes you go blind.... hey wait!
